SWE Philadelphia invites you to join our virtual event, “Beyond Resilience: A Better Way to Navigate Pressure and Change,” with Lyla Cookson of Lyla Cookson Coaching on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. ET.

📅 Date: October 28, 2026
⏰ Time: 7 p.m. ET
📍 Location: Virtual (link provided upon completion of registration)

In this interactive virtual session, you will explore how stress can affect your thinking, recognize thought patterns that may take over under pressure, and practice practical tools for accessing clearer, more constructive responses when things get difficult.

Lyla Cookson is an empowerment coach for women engineers and technical professionals, helping them access their best thinking under pressure. Before becoming a coach, Lyla worked as an electrical engineer, including five years in Japan designing transistor-level analog integrated circuits for Sanyo Electric. She was the only woman and only non-Japanese engineer in a 40-person R&D group, an experience that shaped her understanding of capability, confidence, pressure, and belonging.

Today, as a Certified Life Coach and Positive Intelligence® Coach, Lyla combines her engineering perspective with practical tools for navigating stress, thought patterns, and change. Through Lyla Cookson Coaching, she helps women in technical fields move beyond simply pushing through and learn to access the capability they already have.

Please reach out to [email protected] with any questions.
