The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office has released its 2025 Annual Report!

2025 Highlights:
✅ Achieved national accreditation through the International Association of Coroners & Medical Examiners, which recognizes excellence in death investigation
📊 Managed 2,842 reportable deaths, with 1,233 full investigations conducted Countywide
❤️ Supported life-saving outcomes through 24 organ donors and 205 tissue donors, enabling 461 transplants

Thank you to everyone who participated in our public voting process to help select this year’s Montgomery County “I Voted” Sticker Contest finalists.

Together, you cast nearly 3,000 votes! We also want to recognize the incredible creativity of the more than 300 artists who submitted designs from across Montgomery County. Participants ranged in age from 4 to 75 years old!

🌡️ A Code Red Hot Weather Emergency has been declared for on the following days:

Thursday, June 11, 2026: Noon – 6 PM
Friday, June 12, 2026: Noon – 6 PM

A Code Red Hot Weather Emergency is declared when the temperature or heat index is expected to be at or above 100°F or higher for two or more hours. Extreme heat can be life-threatening, especially for older adults, young children, and those with health conditions.

Please take steps to stay safe:
☑️ Stay hydrated
☑️ Avoid strenuous activity during peak heat
☑️ Check on neighbors, especially seniors
☑️ Never leave children or pets in vehicles

Montgomery County is offering additional support for vulnerable individuals, including those experiencing unsheltered homelessness and weather-sensitive older adults.

Cooling programs are available to all residents in need, with more than 70+ locations across the region.
