The Commander in Chief has the sole authority to lead our troops in wartime, but I’ve lost too many friends on the battlefield to allow that to happen without Congress being involved. Today, I am leading the effort to give President Trump until July 30th to defeat Iran’s nuclear weapons program without putting a single American boot on the ground.

Two things have been clear from the very beginning of President Trump’s military operation in Iran: these terrorists cannot be allowed to develop a nuclear weapon and the United States of America cannot be dragged into another endless war.

The New Lothrop Road Bridge in Burns Township has been closed for years, forcing local workers and families to take longer routes. That’s why I fought for $1 million to rebuild the bridge. Today, I met with local officials, who highlighted how this infrastructure investment will mean shorter commutes, more direct routes for first responders, and a better-connected community.

Prediction markets like Polymarket and Kalshi let Americans bet on everything from the weather to elections — creating the perfect opportunity for corrupt government officials to get rich by betting on outcomes they’re able to influence. This is wrong and erodes the trust of the American people, which is why I’m supporting the PREDICT Act to put an end to it once and for all.

The recent rise of prediction markets like Kalshi and Polymarket are changing the betting landscape in America. For the first time ever, people have a place to wager on everything from the weather in Chicago to the winner of an election in Kalamazoo.

Year after year, Michigan farmers have waited with uncertainty while Washington kicked the can down the road. Last week, I voted to deliver the first full Farm Bill since 2018 and give our farmers the certainty they deserve. Now it’s time to get this bill through the Senate and signed into law — our rural communities are counting on it.

Mid-Michigan farmers work too hard to be constantly left guessing. For years, Washington kicked the Farm Bill down the road, and our producers paid the price with uncertainty and short-term patches instead of the long-term stability they deserve.

70% of veterans are prescribed mental health drugs, many of which have serious side effects, including thoughts of su***de. Prescribing these medications without properly educating veterans is unconscionable, especially as veteran su***des continue to climb. I was proud to stand beside Congressman Gus Bilirakis, Congressman Don Davis, and more than 20 veteran organizations to advocate for the Written Informed Consent Act to ensure every veteran understands what they are taking.
