While we are at an historic pace in passing a budget this year, there will still be much to deliberate about. House Republicans maintain that shrinking the budget is in the interest of Michiganders; improving our economy and taking the financial strain off families that has many living paycheck to paycheck is a top priority. Reallocating money to fix our historic lows in literacy rates and improve the outlook of our students is so that they may have the proper tools to succeed and inherit a better economy.
