Attended "Wishes on the Wind", presented by Turning Point and hosted at the Anton Art Center. This is a multimedia art exhibition celebrating healing and visibility by survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence and human trafficking. Turning Point is celebrating 45 years of empowering survivors.

Was honored to address the 10 new Paramedics at Superior Ambulance Paramedic Graduation Ceremony. Providing emergency medical care requires incredible skill, resilience and a commitment to serving others during a very difficult moment in their lives. Paramedics are often the difference between tragedy and hope. As our state faces a shortage of first responders these graduates should not go unnoticed or uncelebrated. Congratulations and best wishes as you begin the next chapter in your careers.

I voted to get special interest money out of politics because I work for the people of Michigan, not utility companies, corporate interests, or billionaire donors.

I've heard from many residents across Macomb County who are frustrated with rising utility costs. At a time when families, seniors, and working people are already struggling to keep up with everyday expenses, they deserve to know that decisions in Lansing are being made in the public's interest, not influenced by those with the deepest pockets.

Witnessed the overwhelming joy of kids picking out their own back to school backpacks. Clinton Township partnered with Tuta's Kidz Kloset to provide the backpacks, shoes, socks and toiletries. Haircuts for boys were a hit. Families lined up for hot dog and hamburgers. Thank you to all the sponsors and those who donated their talents, their resources and their time to make this a wonderful event.

Selfridge ANG Base ground breaking today for the reengineered north/south runway to accomodate the F-15EX fighter jets. Glad to see General Voelker home and at the ceremony. Did you know 330 Selfridge guardsmen are right now deployed to the middle east? Keep them in your prayers.

Partnered with the Mount Clemens Fire Department to play in the Clinton Township Fire Department's charity golf outing. Thanks to Captain Dave, Lieutenant Kurt and Firefighter Max for the totally fun day and for ignoring my "wonderful" golf skills. We got to shoot golf balls out of a bazooka!
