Interested in becoming a foster parent in Indiana?

Firefly Children & Family Alliance will host a virtual Q&A on Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 7 to 8 p.m. (ET).

Participants can ask questions about foster care and learn about the process of becoming a licensed foster parent through Firefly.

We encourage Indiana faith-based institutions and houses of worship to share this opportunity with their congregations and families considering fostering.

To attend, visit the link below and select “Join Q&A” at the scheduled start time.

Help fill a backpack for a child in Grant County!

When children are removed from their homes in an emergency, they may have to leave behind the belongings that bring them comfort.

Grant County DCS is collecting backpacks and everyday essentials to help meet their immediate needs and remind them that they are cared for during this difficult time.

Every donation can make a meaningful difference and help show these children that their community is here for them.

Please see the graphic for requested items/drop-off details. and share this post!

Our office and the Midwest Region welcomed federal HUD leaders to Indianapolis Sept. 22–23 for the inaugural Faith in Action Summit.

Nearly 400 Indiana faith communities were represented alongside government and housing leaders to address Indiana’s shortage of more than 137,000 affordable, available rental homes for extremely low-income households.

Through Indiana’s Faith-Based Institutions Initiative, the Office of Lt. Governor Micah Beckwith is helping houses of worship access resources, navigate government programs, and connect with housing professionals to move local projects forward for Hoosiers.

Thank you to everyone who participated!
