The Bureau of Better Aging (BBA) held a bingo night to celebrate “Older Americans Month” on May 15, 2026 at Washington Park in Indianapolis. It was BBA’s 3rd annual senior bingo event and its 4th collaboration with Indy Parks. There were vendors that provided valuable information and resources to the senior attendees. The participants were very engaged and took valuable information regarding scams that target seniors as well as fire and preventive burn safety and much more. Ascension St. Vincent provided a presentation on burn safety and provided fire blankets to all that attended. The BBA staff presented a skit provided by our dietitian that highlighted fresh fruit and dairy and its importance in your diet.

Of course, bingo is always a hit!

This event was a success due to the partnership between Indy Parks and BBA – it’s a great example of the BBA and the community working together to better the lives of its seniors.

Vendors that provided resource tables for the event included the following:

• IRS
• FBI
• Attorney General’s Office
• YMCA
• Indy Parks
• BBA
• Indianapolis Public Library
• Ascension St. Vincent Burn Center
• CICOA Program
• Captel -closed captioned telephone service
