Residents of community integrated living homes supported by JCFS Chicago recently enjoyed brunch with their families and agency staff. There was music and plenty of socializing for everyone.

“It's a wonderful community connection,” said Tracy Portnoy, Director of Individual Philanthropy, “It's great for the residents’ parents and siblings to see each other and meet new people from other homes who have similar experiences."

JCFS Chicago's new community support group, Recipe to Connect: The Ingredients for Growth, Confidence, and Community, is designed for neurodivergent young adults (~18-26 years old, with low support needs)
who want to strengthen social connections, develop emotional regulation strategies, and build practical social skills. The group emphasizes learning through experience and peer connection.
