Earlier this month, Linnet Mendez, JCFS Chicago's Senior Director of Outpatient Behavioral Health and Director of the Virginia Frank Child Development Center, and Sara Hood, JCFS Mental Health Clinician and Consultant, presented at The Work of Fred Rogers Conference (Fred Rogers Institute) in Latrobe, Pennsylvania.

They joined other early childhood educators and successfully presented, “I Like You Just the Way You Are: How a Child Development Center Creates a Holding Environment to Foster Early Relational Health".

This month, Bracha Jakofsky, Abuse Prevention Coordinator & Mental Health Educator, represented JCFS Chicago as a presenter at the Illinois Coalition Against Sexual Assault (ICASA) R**e Prevention & Education Conference.

In the session, "Addressing Child Abuse in a Faith-Based Community," attendees explored practical approaches to prevention education within faith-based settings. Participants discussed ways to build trust, engage families, partner with faith leaders, and adapt prevention efforts to the communities they serve.
