Our 'My Chi, My Future' youth program kicked off recently with a Field Day event for the community, where we provided food and fun for parents and kids in the North Lawndale area. Working with The Collins Academy, youth participants also hosted a Back-to-School event yesterday, where we provided students in the surrounding community with snacks and backpacks stuffed with supplies for the coming school year. We're so proud of these future leaders! 💙💛

Join Gads Hill Center’s Junior Building Leaders and Building Leaders, in partnership with 9/11 Day and AmeriCorps for our September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance event.

Together, youth, families, staff, and community volunteers will assemble more than 500 nutritious meal bags and create handwritten appreciation cards for local firefighters, first responders, and neighbors experiencing food insecurity. Participants will also take part in age-appropriate activities about 9/11, civic engagement, leadership, resilience, and service.
