At the end of April, Gads Hill Center North Lawndale hosted its annual Kindergarten Readiness event. Big thank you to Kipp Ascend and Legacy Charter for joining us and presenting during our parent meeting. The schools gave insight on enrollment, programs/events, their mission/values, and their approach to kindergarten readiness.

We also took a kindergarten readiness field trip to Kipp Ascend for the children to engage in a mini lesson/soft transition, and for parents and teachers to gain insightful information regarding kindergarten readiness. We finished by touring the school and meeting kindergarten teachers.

Overall, it was an impactful way to prepare our kids for their next stage in learning. At Gads Hill Center, we center educational outcomes and developmental milestones. We are excited to see these young people continue to grow stronger and achieve academic greatness.

to last month's Earth Day celebration at Gads Hill Center North Lawndale 💙💛 Earth Day at Ogden was exciting and enriching! Our children had hands-on learning about planting, recycling, and healing the earth. They picked up trash, talked about what can and cannot be recycled, and how waste harms the earth.

They explored and planted different types of seeds using soil and water, and discussed what helps plants grow and why we need them. They also filled bird houses with pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds, reminding our kiddos of the important of a healthy environment. When we prepare our next generation, we can leave the world better for the future.

Alderman Jason C. Ervin invited Gads Hill Center to the 28th Ward Career and Resource Fair on May 1st at the JLM Center.

This event connected Gads Hill Center staff to job seekers looking to make an impact on our youth and families. At Gads Hill Center, we don’t just represent community, we ARE community.

Gads Hill Center North Lawndale walked together for Autism awareness to celebrate inclusion and show our youngest voices that they belong in every space. Through play, kindness, and community, we’re building a future where every child is seen, heard, and valued. Even with little steps, our kids show their big hearts.

We hope every mom had a memorable and very happy Mothers Day! 💐🎨

We had a beautiful time celebrating all of our amazing mothers and caregivers with a special painting event filled with creativity, laughter, and love. Families enjoyed painting together, sharing delicious snacks, and making unforgettable memories with their children. ❤️
