As a member-owned and -governed cooperative, Mid-Ohio Energy relies on members like you to bring your leadership skills to the board room.

Members in districts 1, 2, and 3 were mailed trustee interest cards last week. If you're interested in learning more about becoming a co-op trustee (with no further obligation or strings attached) simply fill out the trustee interest card and return it in the pre-addressed envelope.

Each year, 3 of the co-op's 9 trustee districts are up for election. If you aren't in one of the districts up for election in 2027 but would still like more information, please visit our website or send us a message!

Thank you to Ohio Senator Susan Manchester for joining us at our America's Electric Cooperatives PAC lunch event last week!

"It's an important year and election. It matters that you go out and vote," said Manchester.

Manchester thanked electric co-ops for being a trusted resource on energy matters, and spoke about affordability, working to ensure adequate energy supply, and making Ohio a top state to do business in.

The event was hosted jointly with Logan County Electric Cooperative to bring in employees, trustees, and members of each co-op for an update direct from their representatives.

During the event, the crowd also heard from Marc Armstrong, Director of Government Affairs for Ohio's Electric Cooperatives.

Marc provided an update on recent legislation relevant to electric co-ops and their members, including boosting cybersecurity efforts, streamlining the process for securing FEMA funds, and permitting reform for energy infrastructure.

We love supporting children of co-op members through junior fair livestock sales. One of the best parts is seeing the postcards and thank-you notes from the kids after the fairs.

The satisfaction of supporting the youth and all their hard work is enough (we don't need to be thanked), but these cookies from Cooper and Conner Bookmeyer were so much fun that we had to show them off! 🐄🤠

As fall temperatures fluctuate, your thermostat settings can make a big difference on energy bills. On cooler days, lower the thermostat… and raise it during days that are warmer. On milder days, consider turning off your heating/cooling system altogether. A smart thermostat is also convenient for making temperature adjustments––and saving energy––even easier.
