Hardin County Armory

Hardin County Armory The Hardin County Armory is the oldest and most beautiful armory in Ohio. Construction for this building began in 1894.

The Hardin County architecture represents the Late Victorian, Richardsonian Romanesque Style. The cornerstone ceremony had an estimated attendance of over 25,000 people. The new Armory was formally dedicated in April 15, 1895 with a grandiose military ball. The Armory holds an incredible amount of history and we hope you are some day part of the History as well. The Armory does not limit what we d

o with our space. We let our clients use their imagination and bring the venue to life in which ever way they see. At the Armory, the possibilities for your event are limited only by your imagination.

Here's a sneak peak of a feature we'll have on our new page- history Wednesdays.

For example, did you know Governor William McKinley, soon to be president, was in attendance at the Armory's cornerstone ceremony on August 2, 1894? A cornerstone ceremony is the ceremonial laying of the first stone of a building's foundation, to which all other stones are laid in reference. Along with his staff, he celebrated with the town when this first stone was laid, starting the construction of the Hardin County Armory.

We have a lot more facts like this lined up and cannot wait to share them... follow our new page to make sure you don't miss out. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100089696030240
