🌙🚔 Let's Talk Curfew 🚔🌙

With school out and summer in full swing, we've noticed a number of kids out after curfew recently.

Just a friendly reminder that the City of Kenton's curfew applies to anyone under the age of 18:

🕙 Sunday - Thursday: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
🕚 Friday - Saturday: 11:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Exceptions include juveniles who are:
✔️ With a parent or legal guardian
✔️ Attending or traveling to/from a school activity
✔️ Attending or traveling to/from a church activity
✔️ Traveling directly to/from work

Here's a fact many people don't know: a juvenile found in violation of curfew can be referred to Juvenile Court as an unruly child.

Before anyone asks, no, we're not trying to cancel summer fun. 😄 We just want kids to stay safe, parents to know where they are, and everyone to enjoy a trouble-free summer.

A little planning, a quick text home, and keeping an eye on the time can go a long way.

📱💙 We’ve been a little quiet on here lately…

Officer Temple and his family, who help run our page, have been a little busy welcoming their newest and tiniest recruit 👶💙

Word is he’s already running the overnight shift, calling the shots on radio time, and keeping dad on standby 24/7 😄🚔

Congratulations to Officer Temple and his family on their newest addition!

SCAM ALERT!

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office wants to warn you about this scam that is popping up around Central Ohio. We have received several reports of people receiving a Traffic Violation Notice, claiming to be from the Municipal Court of the County of Franklin. It says it’s a Final Notice – Court Enforcement Action for an “outstanding traffic violation involving your registered vehicle with the State of Ohio.”

This is a SCAM. Do NOT scan the QR code.

We want to take a moment to remind you that any requests for payments for toll fees, parking violations, or speeding violations that are made via email or text message are a scam. Never click on a link or scan a QR code from an unknown source. If you are ever wondering about the legitimacy of a legal summons, contact the agency at a number you find yourself on their website. And please report any scams to your local law enforcement agency.

🚓Press Release🚓

On April 24, 2026, Kenton Police pursued a vehicle that fled a traffic stop. The suspect vehicle was later found abandoned, with illegal narcotics in plain view.

After a brief search, the suspect was located and taken into custody.

Significant quantities of suspected methamphetamine and prescription pills were seized.

The suspect was transported to the Multi County Correctional Center.

The Kenton Police Department has seen an increase in vehicle break-ins and stolen vehicles in our area. 🚗

We encourage residents to take a few simple precautions:

• Lock your vehicles
• Remove valuables or keep them out of sight
• Do not leave keys or key fobs inside
• Park in well-lit areas when possible

If you notice any suspicious activity, please report it.

We appreciate your help in keeping our community safe. 💙
