The Jackson County Senior Center is raffling off a beautiful queen-size quilt featuring lots of fall colors! 🍁 Tickets are only $1 each and can be purchased at the Jackson County Senior Center.

LABOR DAY HOLIDAY CLOSURE

Jackson County Administrative Offices will be CLOSED Monday, September 7th, 2026, in observance of the Labor Day holiday.

Regular office hours will resume on Tuesday, September 8th.

Today, we celebrated the completion of the new roundabout located at Ridgeway Church Road, SK Boulevard, and Steve Reynolds Industrial Parkway in Commerce!

A project like this takes a tremendous amount of coordination and teamwork, and it would not have been possible without the many partners and individuals who helped bring it across the finish line. We would like to recognize and thank Azimuth Contractors LLC, Keck & Wood, LJA Construction Managers, Jackson County Public Works Superintendent Jeff Bridges and the entire Public Works staff, past County Manager Kevin Poe, our Board of Commissioners, County Manager Gina Roy, Assistant County Manager Jamie Jackson, and the many others who played a role in making this project possible.

This project was funded through Economic Development Bond funds and SPLOST funds, helping support continued infrastructure improvements in Jackson County.

Thank you to everyone who had a hand in this project and joined us today to celebrate its completion. We appreciate the hard work, collaboration, and dedication that went into making this improvement a reality for Jackson County!

🐾 Happy National Dog Day from JCAF! 🐾

Today we’re recognizing our top dog, Chuck! 🐶🏆

Chuck greets everyone who visits JCAF with his best smile and is always dressed to impress. He loves posing for pictures, and we swear he doesn’t have a bad side! He’s a favorite around here, especially with the kids, and we love having him welcome everyone to JCAF.

We know every day is Aggie Day (or so she thinks 😹), but today we’re happy to celebrate Chuck AND all the pups who visit us throughout the year!

From Barn Hunt Trials, Flyball Tournaments, Scent Dog Trials, the Southeastern American Eskimo Dog Show, and more, we welcome quite a few wagging tails through our doors throughout the year, and we wouldn’t have it any other way! 🐕❤️
