It was a good week at Jackson County Corrections! ✝️

18 incarcerated men gave their lives to God. Faith, mentorship, and positive change carries weight within these walls. It reminds these individuals forgiveness is possible, growth is real, and their past does not define their future. One of our favorite parts was one asking for an officer to baptize him.

Thank you to Pastor Jeff Stewart and his associates, Preacher Freddie and associates, Free Chapel, Crossroads Church, and all of our volunteers — Your ministry changes hearts.

We are also so thankful to be apart of a county who’s leaders support our mission and these walks of life. Thank you for your participation.

On Saturday, August 1, 2026, the Jackson County Corrections Fire Department was proud to host a Hazmat Awareness class for area fire departments.
The class welcomed approximately 19 participants, including firefighters from across Jackson County and one attendee from Madison County.

Training opportunities like these help strengthen partnerships, enhance emergency preparedness, and ensure first responders are equipped with the knowledge needed to safely respond to hazardous materials incidents. Thank you to everyone who attended and to those who continue investing in training that keeps our communities safer.

🥁 The moment you’ve all been waiting for.. 🥁

Officer Murphy was in a car accident on his way to work and has been out since. Here at JCC we are a family and even if we can lighten the burden just a little bit for one another, we do our best to.
