We had a great time at the Moo Shake Shack! 🐄

The children loved seeing all the animals, including 2-week-old baby calves, piglets, sheep, goats, rabbits, donkeys, chickens, and Shetland ponies. It was a wonderful hands-on experience and a chance to learn more about farm life.

We’ve had a lovely half term full of Easter crafts 🐣🌸

The children enjoyed a variety of creative activities, including making Easter cards, baking Easter nests and lots of sticking and cutting. There were plenty of opportunities to explore colours, textures, and materials while creating their own special pieces to take home.

We had a fantastic time at Althrive Sensory Soft Play! 💫

The children thoroughly enjoyed exploring the soft play area, with lots of opportunities for sensory engagement, movement, and fun. They also loved the role play area, using their imagination and creativity as they explored different activities and scenarios.

From climbing and sliding to discovering different textures and spaces, it was a wonderful experience for everyone.

The children enjoyed a range of sensory activities including painting, colouring rainbows 🌈, and exploring various sensory trays. They also got creative making their own cards, with lots of fun sticking and cutting activities to help develop fine motor skills.

What a fantastic trip to the horse welfare centre in Blackpool! 🐴✨

The children had a wonderful time meeting the horses and ponies, learning how to plait tails, and observing how they are cared for each day. It was a lovely opportunity to talk about animal welfare and the importance of being gentle and kind.

Afterwards, the fun continued with small world pony play, where the children recreated what they had seen. To finish our adventure, they headed out to the paddock on their favourite wooden ponies, practising their jumping skills over the fences — lots of energy, excitement, and big smiles!

What a sweet and joyful Valentine’s celebration! ❤️✨At Jellybeans 🥰

The children enjoyed creating beautiful Valentine’s Day cards, and decorating delicious iced biscuits — a wonderful mix of creativity and sensory exploration.

We also had lots of fun with music and movement, dancing with scarves and expressing ourselves through rhythm and colour. Activities like these support fine motor skills, coordination, creativity, and confidence.

Valentine’s Gloop & Playdough Fun ❤️✨

The children had a fantastic time exploring Valentine’s themed gloop and playdough activities! From squishing and stretching to rolling and shaping, there was plenty of hands-on sensory fun.

They practised their fine motor skills through cutting and sticking, creating beautiful heart-themed crafts while developing hand strength and coordination.

Great construction work using our winter Arctic magnetic tiles! ❄️🧊

Exploring Books Together 📚✨

It’s been wonderful to see the children enjoying stories as a group — turning pages, pointing to pictures, predicting what might happen next, and confidently sharing their ideas.

Even the smallest of our children are showing an interest in books — reaching out to hold them, exploring textures, looking closely at images, and listening to familiar voices. These early experiences are so important for building communication skills, concentration, and a lifelong love of reading.

We love watching their curiosity grow one page at a time! 💛

We’ve been celebrating both Valentine’s Day and Chinese New Year with lots of creative fun and exciting new experiences! ❤️🐉

The children enjoyed making beautiful Valentine’s crafts filled with hearts, colour, and kindness. For Chinese New Year, they explored themed crafts and learned about traditions linked to the celebration.

To extend the experience, the children tasted Chinese noodles, prawn crackers, and fortune cookies — a wonderful opportunity to explore new flavours, textures, and cultural traditions.
