Just over one week to go to apply for a proxy vote! 🗳

Deadline for applying for a proxy vote is 28 April. Do it now at https://chorley.gov.uk/proxyvote

It is possible for anyone to apply for a proxy vote at a particular election, if they provide a reason why they are not able to vote in person themselves on the day of the election.

You can only apply for a proxy vote under certain circumstances, which includes:

✅ being away on polling day
✅ having a medical issue or disability
✅ not being able to vote in person because of work or military service
living overseas.

🌿 Getting the garden ready this spring?

If you have grass cuttings, hedge trimmings or other garden waste, our Garden Waste Collection Service offers a simple and responsible way to dispose of it.

Subscriptions for 2026/27 are now open at £40 per bin, with collections running from 1 May 2026 to 30 April 2027. The service runs fortnightly, helping you stay on top of garden waste throughout the growing season.
