A throwback to 2012 when we discovered a photo from around 1893 that shows a clear view of the lost greenhouse on the back of the courtyard.

If you have any old photos of Bank Hall and its gardens that we can physically or digitally add to our historical archive collection, we would love to see them, as we are currently preparing a special garden exhibition display for a special weekend event in Summer 2027. (Watch this space for more details nearer the time).

A clear view of the lost greenhouse at Bank Hall, this is not the walled garden greenhouse, this one was attatched to the back of the courtyard, it is unknown what this greenhouse was like as it had long gone before the Bank Hall Action Group started work on the grounds. Our Walled Garden is ready to welcome you all tomorrow to our Food, Drink and Plant Fair. 12pm-4pm, FREE Entry & Parking.

🌹Our David Austin Roses are in flower and the herbaceous borders are flourishing. All proceeds towards the Bank Hall Walled Garden and Potting Shed Restoration Project Potting Sheds Project & Walled Garden Restoration

💷 All proceeds and donations raised by our events go towards the Potting Shed & Walled Garden Restoration Project which will see the buildings restored into a visitor entrance, cafe and community space.

The Walled Garden is already featuring many beautiful flowers and plants that are tended to by our volunteers. Once restoration is completed this heritage asset will be used to educate visitors on horticulture, heritage and health and wellbeing in this beautiful setting which is also a bee and butterfly haven. 🐝
