🤩HAPPENING TOMORROW NIGHT!!!!

We're excited for tomorrow evening's Community Conversations.

The Beyond Band-Aids Initiative, in partnership with the Bridgewater United Church, is pleased to be hosting another community conversation for all Lunenburg County residents. We have all experienced how rapidly things are changing both in the world and right here in our communities. There is an increased need to address issues such as affordability, safe and available housing, mental health, stigma and discrimination, social isolation as well as other broader concerns.

If you have been looking for a safer space to explore these and other issues, please join us in conversation. Whether you are currently facing challenges yourself, supporting your neighbours, or simply concerned about these issues, you are welcome. Your experiences and perspectives matter. We will reflect on how we can continue to think ‘beyond band-aids’ and identify ways to work together to build ongoing, sustainable solutions and quality of life for all.

Date: Thursday, May 28th, 2026
Time: 5:30-6:00pm (Light meal provided); 6:00-8:00pm (Event proceedings)
Location: Bridgewater United Church, 87 Hillcrest St., Bridgewater

Today, ALO recognizes Red Dress Day—a time to reflect, remember, and stand in solidarity with Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People.

Each red dress is a powerful symbol of a life, a story, and someone deeply loved and missed. Today, and every day, we honour those who are lost, those who remain missing, and the families and communities who continue to carry their stories.

Together, we commit to listening, learning, and taking meaningful action toward justice and building safer, more inclusive communities for all.
