Please note our office will be closed Wednesday for presentations & outreach. We're going to be set up at the Public Health Mobile Unit at HB Studios Sport Centre from 11:30-4:30 with STI kits, condoms and other safer s*x goodies.

It's a great opportunity to get caught up on testing and vaccines!

If you'd like to learn more, reach out tomorrow or to Public Health regarding whether you qualify for such vaccines as the HPV vaccine.

Thursday we will be closed between 2-3 for a meeting, but open the rest of the day.

Know someone who's Sexcellent? Nominate them for this annual award to honours people who've made a difference in the s*xual health and wellness of others

❗It’s time for the Sexcellence Awards Nominations! Each year, Sexual Health Nova Scotia presents the Sexcellence Award to an individual nominated by their community for being leaders in s*xual health promotion and education for Nova Scotians.

Nominees are evaluated based on their contribution to social justice & advocacy, education & health promotion, partnerships, specialized services, and innovation to s*xual, gender, and reproductive health in Nova Scotia. They may provide access to safer s*x supplies, do educational presentations, provide avenues for gender affirming care, promote s*xual wellness and advocacy, or other contributions in the s*xual health field! 🏆

📖Learn more about the awards and previous nominees here

Props to the Town of Lunenburg for supporting Menstrual May! You can drop off donations at town hall.

P.S. We never turn down donations of menstrual underwear or tampons... they're hot items that disappear fast!

It's Menstrual May!

Menstrual May is a community campaign focused on raising awareness about period poverty and helping ensure everyone has access to essential menstrual products. Throughout the month of May, communities come together to collect donations, support local organizations, and help break the stigma surrounding menstruation. Every donation can make a meaningful difference.

Residents looking to support the campaign can donate liners, pads and tampons at Lunenburg Town Hall (119 Cumberland Street) during normal business hours.
