At approximately 10:42 a.m., Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Zone 3 officers responded to a shooting in the 400 block of Moore Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers located an adult female victim located outside suffering from a gunshot wound.

Pittsburgh EMS transported the victim to an area hospital in critical but stable condition.

Some businesses in the area were put on lockdown as a precautionary measure as the investigation is ongoing.

The Mobile Crime Unit and Drone team responded to the scene.

Homicide detectives are leading an active investigation.

At approximately 8:45 am, Police, Fire, and EMS responded to 90 Eazor Square for a vehicle into the City garage.

Upon arrival, firefighters located a male inside a car underneath a hoist after he reversed into a closed garage door.

Medics transported him to the hospital in stable condition.

An employee working underneath the hoist at the time narrowly missed being struck.

Police are investigating.

On October 27, 2018, 11 Pittsburghers were senselessly killed in the deadliest antisemitic attack in American history while worshipping at the Tree of Life building in Squirrel Hill.

We continue to stand with the families, survivors and the Jewish community and affirm our commitment to eradicating hate in every form.

The Pittsburgh Bureau of Emergency Medical Services held a swearing-in and promotions ceremony in Council Chambers this morning.

EMS Chief Amera Gilchrist credited the inductees as the driving force behind the Bureau's continued growth and success.

“To all being honored today: you represent the very best of who we are and who we are becoming,” Gilchrist said. “Your dedication, perseverance, and courage have carried you to this moment, and your service will carry this bureau forward.”

Speaking to the promotees, Acting Public Safety Director Takeena White added, “I encourage you to remember that every interaction matters. A simple act of kindness, a moment of patience, or a word of support in the midst of someone’s worst day goes a long way.”

The ceremony concluded with Mayor Corey O'Connor administering the Oath of Office.

Mayor O’Connor swore in Michael Schutte as an Emergency Medical Technician, alongside new Paramedics Seth Stowe, Kyle Lizanich, Hannah Glaser, David Diederich, Isaac Elias, Adam Goldsboro, Madeline Gavatorta, Katrina Haas, and Audrey Aronis.

Emergency Medical Technicians Richard Montgomery, Anicet Mundundu, Michelle Salisbury, Abby Gwynn, and Aniya Jackson were promoted to Paramedics.

Crew Chiefs Fred Caprio and Christy Zalewski were promoted to the rank of District Chief.

Congratulations to all and thank you for your service!

Special note: Three of the five EMTs promoted to Paramedic are graduates of the Pittsburgh EMS Freedom House EMT Academy. Promoted alongside them are the two Crew Chief Training Officers who originally instructed the academy. They will now serve alongside their former students as EMS District Chiefs.

Reminder! Tomorrow is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. Proper disposal of unneeded prescription drugs saves lives.

On Saturday, October 24 from 10am-2pm bring those old and unneeded medications to a collection site near you. Drop-off boxes will be located at Police headquarters and the six police zone stations.

FINAL UPDATE: Smith has been located and is in custody at this time.

UPDATE: An arrest warrant has been issued for Calvin Smith. The investigation is Pittsburgh Bureau of Policet approximately 9:35 a.m., Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Zone 1 officers responded to a reported bank robbery in the 100 block of Isabella Street.

Preliminary information indicates an adult male suspect wearing a black mask with a skull print entered the bank and produced a fi***rm, demanding money. He fled the bank with cash, heading toward General Robinson.

The Real Time Crime Center is tracking the suspect.

The FBI is on scene. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
