Today marks the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, a day that forever changed our nation.

Today, I joined Judge Martini in delivering meals to our Zone 6 Police officers and the dedicated employees of the City of Pittsburgh’s 5th Division of Public Works as a small gesture of appreciation for those who serve our communities every day.

As we reflect on September 11, we remember the lives that were lost, honor the extraordinary courage and sacrifice of our first responders, and recognize the families whose lives were forever changed.

Thank you to everyone who helped deliver meals today, and a very special thank you to former Councilwoman Theresa Kail-Smith, who prepared all of the food and helped make today’s deliveries possible.

We will never forget.

I have been working with the City of Pittsburgh’s Department of Public Works on proposed upgrades to Mutual Park in Sheraden.

The Department of Public Works has developed two options for improving the park, and we want to hear from the community about what residents would most like to see.

What a wonderful story about Zone 6 Police Officer Sadecky and his commitment to keeping our kids safe on their way to school each morning. Thank you Officer Sadecky for all that you do!

Local parents had raised concerns about a driver passing a stopped school bus, and Officer David Sadecky took action.
