Classes, exhibits and music are our mission but look for many other special events popping up throughout the year such as children’s events, bus tours, festivals and parties. Exhibits and concerts and most events are offered free and open to the public. The Troy-Hayner Cultural Center is proudly supported by the citizens of the Troy City School District through a local tax levy and generous gifts

Wow!

We may have set a new attendance record for a concert in the Hayner courtyard Friday night, with over 200 people joining us for the Deron Bell Band’s History of Funk concert.
The music was phenomenal, the food was delicious, and the courtyard was filled with energy from start to finish. It was wonderful to see so many people come together to celebrate Juneteenth and enjoy an evening of music, history, and community.

A huge thank you to Deron Bell and his band for an unforgettable performance, and to everyone who joined us for the evening.

Join us in the Hayner Courtyard for the Juneteenth Kick-Off Concert, presented in partnership with I.D.E.A. Troy.

Complimentary hors d'oeuvres and hibiscus punch begin at 6:30 PM. Deron Bell takes the stage at 7:00 PM with The History of Funk Music in Ohio.

We're excited to tell you more about the artist opening Troy PorchFest 2026.

Angela Combs will kick off the festival with a special opening concert on the Hayner Porch at 11:00 AM before music fills porches throughout Troy's Southwest Historic District.

I had the chance to see Angela and her band perform on the Roots Stage at PorchFest last year, and they absolutely blew me away. Their blend of country and hippy soul is the perfect way to start a day filled with live music, good company, and community.

Troy PorchFest takes place Saturday, September 12.

Join us from 3:00–5:00 PM for the opening reception of Rhythm of Change: The Transformative Power of Black Art from 1619 to Present.

This traveling exhibit from the National Afro-American Museum and Cultural Center explores centuries of Black artistic expression and its impact on American history and culture.

The garage sale is on!

Stop by the Hayner Annex today and see what treasures are waiting. We've got a little bit of everything thanks to generous donations from community members.

All proceeds from the sale help support programs and activities at the Troy-Hayner Cultural Center, so every purchase helps us continue providing arts, culture, and community experiences throughout the year.

The sale is part of the Southwest Historic District Community Garage Sales happening throughout the neighborhood this weekend.

Join us June 19 for the Juneteenth Kick-Off Concert in the Hayner Courtyard, presented in partnership with I.D.E.A. Troy.

The evening begins at 6:30 PM with complimentary hors d'oeuvres, hibiscus punch, and the opportunity to explore Rhythm of Change: The Transformative Power of Black Art from 1619 to Present.

At 7:00 PM, Deron Bell presents The History of Funk Music in Ohio, an entertaining and educational performance celebrating one of America’s most influential musical traditions.

Admission is free. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
