The Ohio Secretary of State's Office has mailed an absentee application to every registered voter in the State of Ohio. That application is a valid application that can be utilized for this November's election.
Voters may also receive absentee ballot request forms from voter advocacy groups, political parties, even candidates. Only one form is necessary to return to receive your mail ballot.
Voters who wish to vote in-person, either during early voting or on Election Day, should not return this request form.
As the Secretary says in his instruction letter, this office recommends that you return the absentee ballot application to your Board of Elections office as soon as possible. The first day that absentee ballots will be mailed to regular voters is Tuesday, October 6th.
