Crews are working around the clock to get every street in Providence cleared. This recovery period will look much different than what most folks are used to because of the historic volume of snow this blizzard brought to Providence. Please know you will not be left behind. Our crews are working in every neighborhood to get at least one lane cleared as soon as possible. Crews will return to widen those streets once they've covered the entire city.

A citywide parking ban will be in effect tonight from 12:00 AM to 5:00 PM to allow crews to clear snow.

Mattress Depot will be closed tomorrow.

I’m proud to announce that, in partnership with General Treasurer James Diossa, Ocean State 2026, Providence City Council, WeGotSoccer and PUMA, we’ll be activating the Waterplace Park Pavilion as PUMA’s House of Portugal during Rhode Island’s Summer of Soccer, May–August 2026.

This temporary activation will celebrate Providence’s deep Portuguese heritage, welcome global soccer fans visiting New England for the FIFA World Cup and bring new energy to our downtown, all at no cost to the City.
