A reminder for Rhode Island educators and school communities — applications for the 2026 RI STEAM Educator Awards are currently open!

During RI STEAM Month in November, RIDE recognizes educators who have demonstrated success in designing and facilitating student-centered integrated STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) learning that engages the next generation of innovative thinkers!

As students return to classrooms, RIDE is investing in proven strategies that help students succeed. 🎓

We're awarding $480,000 to support implementation of the evidence-based Building Assets, Reducing Risks (BARR) model at six schools in Providence, Woonsocket, and Pawtucket. The partnership will strengthen student support systems, improve engagement, and empower educators.

That's why Rhode Island is undertaking the largest public school construction and modernization effort in state history, transforming education facilities while improving student outcomes. Right now, over 50 new or like-new schools are currently in design, under construction, or have been recently completed! 🏫 🚧

It was wonderful to see students, educators, and school communities back together and ready for another year of learning, growth, and new opportunities.
