🚨 The Insurance Division reminds consumers that there are steps you can take to make sure you’re getting the coverage you need at the best possible price.

💻 Shop around. RI has a competitive market for auto insurance and premiums can vary between insurers, so compare quotes before renewing or purchasing a policy.
💡 Know your coverage.
▪️Liability coverage (mandatory) helps pay for injuries or damage you cause to others.
▪️Collision coverage (typically required by lender or leasing company) helps pay to repair or replace your vehicle following a crash.
▪️Comprehensive coverage (typically required by lender or leasing company) helps protect against things like theft, vandalism, and weather/animal damage.
❓ Ask about discounts!

Lastly, drive SAFE! ✅

Good government means removing outdated or unnecessary barriers while maintaining high standards.

We thank Governor Dan McKee and the General Assembly for helping to create a new pathway to becoming a CPA in Rhode Island. The new law addresses the growing shortage of Certified Public Accountants by giving aspiring professionals more flexible options to enter the field.

This commonsense reform will help strengthen Rhode Island’s workforce, expand career opportunities, and ensure everyone continues to have access to qualified accounting professionals.
