Every Student College and Career Ready

We planned for mock interviews…but we didn’t plan for Halloween dress-up day to fall on the same day! Our students and business professionals rolled with it, and we made the best of it. 🎃

From costumes to career conversations, students practiced their interview skills, built confidence, and learned that being prepared for the unexpected is a skill all its own!

A BIG thank you to our amazing business professionals for volunteering their time this morning and helping our students prepare for life beyond the classroom! ❤️🖤

We had the opportunity to connect with local high school students and share the exciting possibilities waiting for them at Modern Academy!

We love encouraging students to dream big, explore their passions, and recognize that a successful future can take many different paths.

Thank you for allowing us to be a small part of these students’ journeys. We can’t wait to see what their futures hold ❤️🖤

🎓💼 Pathway to Paycheck!

Today, our MSCA seniors participated in our Pathway to Paycheck event, focusing on the employability skills needed for success beyond high school!

With guidance from business, industry, and postsecondary partners, students practiced mock interviews, polite debate, professional dress and body language, and creating their own elevator pitches.

At MSCA, we know that career readiness is about more than technical skills! Communication, confidence, and professionalism are essential to success in any career.

A big THANK YOU to our community partners for investing their time and expertise in our students!

We recently purchased a new custom windscreen featuring the Muscle Shoals Career Academy name and logos, and our Welding students got some real-world experience this afternoon learning how to install it!

We love opportunities where our students can put their skills to work right here on our own campus.

A big thank you to the Windscreen Factory for working with us and helping us add a great new look to MSCA! We appreciate your business and support of our school and students.

Outside of the classroom, Jay is also a member of the MSHS Cross Country team. After graduation, he plans to attend the University of Alabama and major in Cybersecurity.
