We are proud to support this year’s Annual CVSO Training, hosted at the Johnson County Armory.
Director Adams opened the training with a message of collaboration and commitment strengthening veteran services across Indiana. The National Veterans Legal Services Program (NVLSP) training equips CVSOs, VA CEPCs, the Indiana National Guard, and Veteran Service Organizations with the knowledge, resources, and connections they need to better advocate for our veterans and their families across all 92 counties.
Thank you to all CVSOs and our partnering organizations for your dedication, expertise, and ongoing advocacy for Indiana’s veterans and their families.

I once asked a Padre in the Infantry why he smoked.
He looked at me and said...
Because this is where everyone talks to me.
The smoke pit was never really about smoking.
It was where Soldiers talked about divorce. Deployments. Leadership. Family. The things keeping them up at night.
Nobody made appointments.
Nobody knocked on the Chaplain's door.
But standing around a cigarette. A dip can. Or an energy drink... people opened up.
Years later I realized he was not there because he liked smoking.
He was there because he loved Soldiers.
Sometimes helping people is not about having all the answers.
Sometimes it is just about being where people are willing to talk.

Today, we celebrate the birthday of the United States Army and honor the soldiers who have defended our nation since 1775.

From the Revolutionary War to today's missions around the globe, generations of Army soldiers have answered the call with an unwavering commitment to duty.

To all who have worn the Army uniform: thank you for your service and sacrifice.

Our office will be closed on Monday June 15th for annual training. We will be open Tuesday through Friday but will not be doing any claim work due to both the VSO and Assistant VSO participating in the training all week. Thank you!

The day has arrived!!!

The Shrine Room in the Indiana War Memorial Museum will be re-opening TODAY, June 10th. Please plan a visit to see the Shrine Room and the Indiana War Memorial Museum.

The IWM museum will be open from 9:00am - 5:00pm.

*** The Indiana War Memorial is FREE to the public.

Our office has a Korean War veteran. That is in need of some window AC units if anyone in the community has any they would like to donate to keep this veteran cool this summer it would be greatly appreciated.
