Please see the following email from Indiana Michigan Power regarding power restoration.

Good afternoon,

Update regarding power restoration from last night’s storm:

• Total Outages in the Muncie area: 2,448.
• I&M crews are continuing to work to safely restore power and as of 1:00 p.m. approximately 34,975 customers are without power, down from a peak of about 62,000.
• Our restoration experts expect to have the majority of customers who can receive power in the Muncie area restored by 11:00 p.m. today.
• Damage assessment continues in other parts of our service area to determine restoration times for other communities. I&M is utilizing drones and helicopters, allowing us to more quickly assess damage in areas that are difficult for our crews to safely access by ground.

Thank you,

The City of Muncie and Mayor Dan Ridenour recently celebrated the official ribbon cutting of The Alan, a new affordable housing development located on Kilgore Avenue at the site of the former Endzone Bar & Grill.

Developed by TWG, The Alan brings much-needed housing opportunities to our community, offering affordable one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartment homes designed to serve individuals and families of varying needs and income levels.

This project represents a significant investment in Muncie's future and reflects the continued commitment of our community partners to expanding access to quality, affordable housing. By transforming a long-vacant property into a modern residential development, The Alan helps strengthen neighborhoods, supports economic growth, and creates new opportunities for current and future residents.

The City of Muncie extends its gratitude to TWG, community stakeholders, and everyone involved in making this project a reality. We look forward to seeing The Alan become a vibrant part of our community for years to come.
