As we close out National Police Week, we are proud to recognize our own Officer Jason Nguyen, who participated in the Police Unity Tour — a four-day, 270-mile bicycle ride honoring fallen law enforcement officers.

The Police Unity Tour serves as a powerful reminder that the sacrifices made by our nation’s heroes will never be forgotten. Thank you, Officer Nguyen, for representing our department and helping honor the memory of those who gave their lives in the line of duty.

In 1962, President Kennedy designated May 15th as National Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week of May 15th as National Police Week.
This week honors and remembers police officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

The Montebello Police Department pays tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting their communities.

We will forever remember the fallen heroes, including our own Officer Henry Acuna, who was killed in the line of duty on October 6, 1971.
