CLASS: Negative Climate

Negative climate reflects children’s exposure to behaviors like yelling, teasing, and conflict, which can create a stressful environment and lead to reactive behaviors.

Teachers can reduce this by modeling calm, supportive responses and guiding children to work through emotions in a positive way.
