Delta Fire Crews Respond to MVA

Delta Fire crews responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a semi truck and a passenger vehicle today.
Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported.

We are proud to announce that our new ambulance officially went into service today and is ready to respond when our community needs us most. This investment helps ensure our crews have the equipment, technology, and reliability needed to provide the highest level of emergency medical care to our residents.

This line of storms, with a history of hail and some gusty winds, is moving through the area, continuing to head to the east/southeast. It will contain frequent lightning, torrential rain, and some hail and high winds over the next hour

▪️At 935 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Grand Ledge, or 8 miles northwest of Lansing, moving east at 35 mph.

🔺HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

🔸IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Delta Fire crews responded to a extrication yesterday between gravel hauler and car. Thankfully no serious injuries. 2 patients transported by Delta Fire.

Thank you to the resident that won a free Chick-fil-a catering package and donated it to the Fire Department. The crews were happy to have breakfast before our training class today.

Delta Fire Fighters participated in urban search and rescue today at East Lansing Fire Department. They worked on collapse training for 8 hours today with other various members of the team. Keeping their skills up is vital for all our communities.

Exciting news! The Webster Road Bridge is back open to vehicle traffic as of today.

Great News! The Eaton County Road Commission announced this afternoon that the Webster Road bridge is open to vehicle traffic. There are some finishing touches yet to be completed over the next month that will require intermittent lane closures at times. The multi-use pathway will remain closed until the completion of the Hawk Meadow Park connector pathway is complete.

Delta Fire Departments new rescue has arrived. It still has a little work to be finished before we put it in service. These vehicles get the most wear and tear of any in the fleet. We want to thank Manager Reed, our finance director and the township board for making this happen. Most importantly we thank all our residents for the support they give us each and every year. We are proud to serve this great Township!
