Yesterday, our Career-Tech students gathered at the Dogwood Center for orientation as we kicked off another exciting year of hands-on learning, new experiences, and opportunities to build skills for the future.

Newaygo County CTC parents/guardians should have received an email from [email protected] with their NC RESA PowerSchool Parent Portal login information. Please check your spam/junk folder if you don’t see it.

Please log in and complete all required student forms as soon as possible.

⚠️ Important: The NC RESA PowerSchool Parent Portal is separate from your local school district’s PowerSchool Parent Portal. You will need to use the username and temporary password provided in the email from NC RESA.

That's a wrap on our Summer 2026 Internship Program! ☀️

This year, thanks to the support of the Fremont Area Community Foundation and NC RESA, we were able to provide internship opportunities for 12 students across Newaygo County.

A huge thank you to our amazing business and community partners who welcomed, trained, and encouraged our interns:
Newaygo County Probate Court, Grant Public Schools, Camp Newaygo, NC RESA, Roberts Sinto Corporation, Hesperia Public Schools, NCCA Artsplace, Camp Henry, Ed Hening County Park, Newaygo County Emergency Services, and the Commission on Aging.

We're proud to report that every intern gained valuable real-world experience, and even more exciting, three interns were offered ongoing employment with their internship sites! 🎉

Thank you for investing your time, expertise, and support in our students. We couldn't do this without you, and we're grateful for the difference you're making in preparing the future workforce.

We are thrilled to officially welcome Joe Conkle as our new Assistant Principal at the Career Tech Center!

Joe comes to us with an incredible depth of leadership experience, most recently serving as the Superintendent at Walkerville Public Schools. His extensive background in educational administration, commitment to student success, and strong vision for community partnerships make him a fantastic addition to our CTC administrative team.

Please join us in giving Joe a warm welcome to the NC RESA family! We are excited for the experience, leadership, and passion he brings to our school community.

The second week of College for Kids is in full swing! Students are having a great time while exploring new skills through engaging, hands-on learning experiences.

We’ve officially wrapped up the first week of College for Kids, and "impressed" is an understatement. Our students didn't just learn this week—they created some truly incredible work!

Maple spent the day checking in on our C4K classrooms, offering some excellent study breaks, and making sure everyone was having a blast. It’s safe to say she was the absolute star of campus today.

🎉 Day 2 of our College For Kids Summer Program has been packed with fun, discovery, and hands-on learning! 🎉

Students in grades K-12 are exploring new interests, building valuable skills, and having an amazing time along the way. From welding and cosmetology to culinary arts, 3D printing, and so much more, every class offers exciting opportunities to learn, create, and grow.

It's inspiring to see our students trying new things, developing confidence, and making connections with friends who share their interests. We can't wait to see what they'll accomplish throughout the rest of the week!
