Below is the latest information on the round of storms this evening. There are some storms making their way from Indiana that could hit late this afternoon / evening. Those are not the same line for overnight. Timing overnight has moved up from 2am to about 11pm. Have a way to be woken up if there are immediate alerts overnight. Do not rely on tornado sirens. Use Pickaway County Alert, other weather apps, or weather radios. Technology is great until it doesn't work - multiple methods of getting information is best!

Gusty winds are expected tomorrow behind the storms - estimating 35 mph.

Thunderstorms will move into the region this evening and continue overnight. Severe storms are possible. Damaging wind is the main threat, though large hail and a few tornadoes cannot be ruled out. These storms will be capable of producing heavy downpours, resulting in localized flash flooding.

We may be in for some weather starting this evening, through the night, and Thursday morning. Primary threats include damaging wind gusts, isolated tornados, and hail. The largest threat is eastern Indiana into western Ohio and then through southwest Ohio.

There is the possibility that smaller storm cells may pop up before this line.

Stay weather aware. You can sign up for weather alerts through Pickaway County Alert by texting your zip code to 888777. There are also alerts through weather apps and the Pickaway County Sheriff's Office app. Weather radios are also great to have!

Thunderstorms are expected to develop late this afternoon and into tonight. Some severe storms will be possible. Damaging wind will be the main threat, although large hail and a few tornadoes will also be possible. The storms will also be capable of producing heavy downpours resulting in the potential for localized flash flooding.

We may see some storms late tonight including some wind. Please secure outdoor items so you don't have to chase the trash can later.

[8:25 PM] We are carefully monitoring the approach of the storms upstream from Illinois and Indiana. We expect that, despite a gradual weakening as they move into the local area, that strong/severe wind will still be possible, especially in east-central Indiana and west-central Ohio around midnight. More updates to follow.

We have the potential for some strong storms late this afternoon and evening.

We have the potential for some strong storms late this afternoon and evening.

Showers and some storms will move across areas north of I-70 this morning into early afternoon, but these are not expected to be strong. However, additional storms that develop mid to late afternoon could become severe with damaging wind the greatest threat. The highest potential is from west central Ohio into central Ohio.

A flood warning is active for Scioto River at Circleville until Monday afternoon. NWS Wilmington is showing 16.0 ft early Sunday afternoon. (Flood stage is 15.0ft.) It will fall below flood stage Monday morning.

Stay aware of your surroundings. Don't drive through water - you don't know how deep it is or what is in it. It doesn't take much water to sweep a vehicle away.

Stay safe everyone!

Rain builds back in near the Ohio River near daybreak Sunday, expanding northward. An additional 1-2+ inches of rain is certainly possible, especially for locations along/SE of I-71. Isolated flooding issues are possible again, in addition to any ongoing river/creek flooding.
