PRC Celebrates Manila Day!

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC / Commission) joins all Manileños and Manileñas as the city celebrates its 455th Founding Anniversary on June 24, 2026 (Wednesday).

Adjunct with Proclamation No. 1320, s. 2026, as signed by His Excellency President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., declared the day as a Special (Non-Working) Day in the City of Manila; thus, all operations and transactions scheduled at PRC – Morayta, Robinsons Place Manila, and Lucky China Town will be temporarily suspended.

All affected appointments and transactions will be accommodated and addressed on the next working day, June 25, 2026 (Thursday).

PRC Regional Office IV-A Holds Pet Wellness Day in Celebration of the 53rd Founding Anniversary

As part of the celebration of the 53rd Founding Anniversary of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the 2026 PRC Week Celebration, the PRC Regional Office IV-A successfully conducted a Pet Wellness Day on 23 June 2026 at the PRC RO IV-A Testing Center.

The activity aimed to promote responsible pet ownership, animal welfare, rabies awareness, and pet health care among PRC personnel. It served as a venue for learning and raising awareness on the shared responsibility of ensuring the well-being of companion animals while contributing to public health and community safety.

The seminar featured informative lectures delivered by representatives from the Office of the Provincial Veterinarian of Quezon, LGU-Tayabas City and officers of Quezon Veterinary Medical Association covering topics such as Basic Information on Rabies Awareness and Animal Welfare, The Importance of Local Government Unit (LGU) Programs in Encouraging Responsible Pet Ownership, and Veterinary Clinics: Your Partner in Keeping Pets Healthy.

Participants gained valuable insights on proper pet care, disease prevention, responsible ownership, and the role of veterinary services in maintaining the health and welfare of pets. The activity also highlighted the significance of collaboration among government agencies, veterinary professionals, and pet owners in promoting animal welfare in the community.

PRC Regional Office IV-A extends its sincere appreciation to the Resource Speakers for their support and valuable contribution to the success of the activity.

Through initiatives such as the Pet Wellness Day, PRC Regional Office IV-A continues to uphold its commitment to community engagement and public service while fostering awareness, compassion, and responsibility toward animal welfare.

The Professional Regulatory Board of Chemistry conducted of Physical Inspection and Monitoring activities in Batangas from June 18 to 19, 2026.

On June 18, 2026, the Board inspected in Bauan and Santo Tomas, Batangas including K's Construction Materials Testing Center and Tann Philippines, Inc.

The following day, June 19, 2026, inspection and monitoring activities continued in San Pascual and Lian Batangas, with visit Masurf Inc. and Absolut Distillers, Inc.

The inspection and monitoring activities were led by the Professional Regulatory Board of Chemistry, headed by Hon. Adoracion P. Resurreccion, Chairperson with the assistance of Ms. Maricris B. Garcia, PRC Regional Office IV-A Representative.

These activities are regularly conducted in accordance with Section 9 of Republic Act No. 8981, otherwise known as the “PRC Modernization Act of 2000,” which defines the powers, functions, and responsibilities of Professional Regulatory Boards in ensuring quality and integrity in professional practice.

Joint Physical Inspection and Monitoring of Higher Education Institutions Offering the Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology Program

Pursuant to Section 9 of Republic Act No. 8981, otherwise known as the PRC Modernization Act of 2000, a Joint Physical Inspection and Monitoring was conducted by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), through the Technical Panel for the Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology Program (BSRTP) in coordination with the Professional Regulatory Board of Radiologic Technology (PRBRT).

The inspection team was headed by Hon. Reynaldo Apolonio S. Tisado, Chairperson of the PRBRT, together with Hon. Roland P. Conanan and Hon. Ma. Jesette B. Canales, Members of the Board. The team was assisted by Mr. Janssen M. Quinto of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Regional Office IV-A.

The activity aimed to assess and monitor the compliance of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) with the standards and requirements for the BSRTP, ensuring the delivery of quality education and the development of competent radiologic technology professionals.

The inspections were conducted in the following HEIs:

• June 9, 2026 – Unciano Colleges, Antipolo City
• June 10, 2026 – Calamba Doctors’ College, Calamba City, Laguna
• June 11, 2026 – New Sinai School and Colleges, Santa Rosa City, Laguna

The joint inspection and monitoring activity underscores the commitment of CHED and the PRBRT to uphold academic excellence, maintain professional standards, and ensure that institutions offering BSRTP continue to provide quality education in accordance with national regulatory requirements.

Chemical Engineers Special Professional Licensure Examination Results Released

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 2 out of 2 passed the Chemical Engineers Special Professional Licensure Examination given by the Board of Chemical Engineering in Singapore and Taipei last May 2026.

The members of the Board of Chemical Engineering who gave the licensure examination are Engr. Maricris C. Vines, Chairperson; Engr. Cezar S. de la Cruz and Engr. Shirlyn B. Chua-Reyes, Members.

Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please visit the official PRC website (www.prc.gov.ph) and follow the instructions for registration. Those who will register are required to bring the following: 1) Screenshot of system-generated Registration Form; 2) valid government-issued ID. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
