Meet Julie 💛

Julie is a Registered Social Worker and Certified Play Therapist who is passionate about supporting children and helping them thrive. Julie takes an individualized, child-centred approach, drawing on a variety of therapeutic techniques tailored to each individual’s unique strengths, needs, and experiences.

Through compassionate, play-based support, she strives to create a safe and welcoming environment where children can build skills, express themselves, and develop confidence.

We are grateful to have Julie as part of our team at NCDC, making a positive difference in the lives of children and families in our community!

Build, connect, and grow together! 🧱✨
Join our LEGO Social Skills Group — a fun and engaging 6-week program where children can strengthen social skills through collaborative LEGO activities, creative play, and guided interaction. Participants will have opportunities to practice communication, teamwork, problem-solving, turn-taking, flexibility, and building friendships in a supportive environment.

📅 When: Wednesdays for 6 weeks starting on November 18th

🕓 Time: 4:00–5:30 PM

📍 Where: Northumberland Child Development

October 15 is Pregnancy and Infant and Loss Awareness Day

We’re excited to welcome Margaret to the Northumberland Child Development Centre team as our new Speech-Language Pathologist.

Margaret brings a wealth of experience working with children and youth, and we’re thrilled to have her join our team to support children and families in our community. 💛
