Get ready for a summer of free snacks and fun! Registration is now open for the PARS Breakaway Zone, a summer program designed specifically for middle school students entering the 6th, 7th, or 8th grades.

The program runs on Mondays from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, giving students a safe, exciting place to hang out. Activities will take place across two great locations, depending on the week: the Pickaway County ESC Mound Street Gym and Gravity Trampoline Park.

Parents, you can get your child registered today by scanning the QR code on the flyer. Please note that a parent or guardian is required to sign students in and out for each session. Don't let your middle schooler miss out on the action this summer!

This morning, Westfall Middle School held its 2025-2026 Academic Honor Awards Ceremony to recognize the hard work and dedication of our students throughout the school year.

In addition to academic honors, we celebrated students with perfect attendance, presented the Presidential Award for Academic Excellence to two outstanding individuals, and recognized recipients of the Archie Griffin Sportsmanship Award and Future Problem Solvers State Bowl Awards.

We concluded the ceremony by honoring our Class of 2030, presenting each 8th grader with a special t-shirt keepsake as they prepare to take the next step into high school.

Congratulations to all!

The adventure continued yesterday as our 8th-graders explored Mount Vernon, the United States Army Museum, and Ford’s Theatre. They also paid their respects at the nation’s most iconic monuments, including the MLK, FDR, Jefferson, WWII, Vietnam, Korean War, Lincoln, and Einstein memorials, as well as the Washington Monument.

Today, the journey concludes with a series of powerful tributes. They start the morning at Arlington National Cemetery, where they witness the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and visit the Kennedy gravesites. Before finally departing for home, they will make final stops at the Marine Corps War Memorial and Pentagon Memorial.
