We would like to take a moment to remind everyone that this holiday is about the men and women that did not return home who have lost their lives fighting for this country. We hope that each of you will take a moment this weekend to reflect on the men and women who risked it all.

We want to wish a VERY Happy Mother's Day to all of the mom's out there but ESPECIALLY the hard working ladies of the Police Department and our Village office! We hope their day is as wonderful as they are!

It has been brought to the attention of the police department that severals cars are racing in and out of the neighborhoods! This is a reminder- the speed limits in our neighborhoods and subdivisions SHALL NOT exceed 15 mph (unless otherwise posted). With the warmer weather comes an increase in children (and pets) playing outside! There will be an increase in traffic monitoring in the neighborhoods and violators will be cited accordingly. We love each one of our kids and don't have a one to spare! We are asking that drivers be vigiliant and mindful of children both big and small playing in the neighborhood. SLOW DOWN!

**ATTENTION** With spring in the air, and warmer temperatures among us- please be aware of your surroundings. We are advising homeowners to make sure they are locking their vehicles, closing their garage doors (when not in use), and asking that you each look out for your neighbors! Warmer temperatures bring a rise in thefts from vehicles and garages. It's very easy for you to forget to close your garage while mowing, but thieves use this as an opportunity to strike. DO NOT become a victim! If you suspect suspicious activity, please contact Commercial Point Police Department via Pickaway County Sheriff's Office Dispatch @ (740)-474-2176 or by calling 9-1-1!
