We held our last pep rally of the year today. We crowned school dodgeball champs (the 6th grade boys upset our 8th graders), the staff continued their run of winning the staff-student basketball game and we honored our spring sports athletes. Have a great summer West!

Big shoutout to our Boosters for making our end-of-year field trips possible!

Our 8th graders visited Topgolf yesterday, while our 7th graders headed to Get Air and our 6th graders enjoyed RollHouse Columbus today. The kids were fantastic and had an absolute blast!

Last week, we had the opportunity to celebrate at the Breakfast of Champions! These outstanding students have earned straight A’s through the third quarter of the school year. We are so proud of their hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence. Congratulations to all of our champions! 🎉📚⭐

Registration for the Viking 5K ends Sunday, May 24th at 11:59pm! The race is open to Scioto Elementary and West Middle School students in grades 3rd-8th and their adults.

The Viking 5K is on Tuesday May 26, 2026. It includes the following events: K-2 T-shirt only! The K-2 event on May 26 is free for K-2 students - only register if you want the t-shirt - thru April 17!, Viking 5K on May 26 - Grades 3-8 (includes t-shirt thru April 17), and Viking 5K - May 26 - Adults....

Mrs. Cotton’s students celebrated the end of their state testing by enjoying Pinball and Mario Kart in the library today. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Seebauer for bringing the pinball machines for our kids!
