🎃👻 HAPPY HALLOWEEN, ADAMS COUNTY! 🍬🍁

It's time for costumes, candy, and a little Halloween fun! I hope all of our Adams County families have a wonderful time celebrating Trick-or-Treat!

As our little ghosts, goblins, superheroes, and princesses head out, here are a few friendly reminders to help keep everyone safe:

🎃 Stay Visible! Wear bright colors, carry a flashlight, or add reflective material to costumes.

🍬 Stay Together! Young children should always be accompanied by a responsible adult.

🚗 Drivers, Slow Down! Watch carefully for children crossing streets and walking through neighborhoods.

👻 Check Those Treats! Parents, take a moment to inspect candy before the little ones dig in!

And most importantly, have fun, make memories, and enjoy a little Halloween magic!

Wishing everyone across Adams County a safe, fun-filled evening with plenty of treats and hopefully not too many tricks!

🧡 Happy Halloween!

🎃🍂 A WONDERFUL EVENING IN MANCHESTER!

I had such a pleasant evening last night at the Manchester Elementary Fall Carnival!

It was wonderful visiting with friends, neighbors, and families in southern Adams County. I especially appreciated the kindness, warm welcome, and thoughtful conversations throughout the evening.

A special thank-you to the teachers, staff, parents, and volunteers who worked so hard to make the carnival possible. Seeing everyone come together to support our children and local schools is always something special!

❤️ Thank you, Manchester, for your hospitality and for making it such an enjoyable evening!

⚖️🇺🇸 EXPERIENCE MATTERS

When someone walks into a courtroom, the outcome can change their life. Their family, their finances, their freedom, and their future may all be at stake.

Barbara Moore Holt understands that responsibility because she's spent nearly three decades practicing law and representing people right here at home.

After beginning her legal career in 1997, Barbara established her own private law practice in 2003. For decades, she's worked directly with clients facing some of life's most difficult legal challenges.

Her experience includes family law, criminal defense, and other legal matters that require knowledge of the law, careful preparation, and an understanding of the people affected by courtroom decisions.

That experience matters.

Barbara has seen the justice system from multiple perspectives: representing clients in private practice, prosecuting criminal cases, and serving as a magistrate.

She understands that behind every case is a real person, a real family, and a decision that deserves careful consideration.

Barbara believes justice should never depend on who you are, who you know, or where you come from. It should depend on the facts, the law, and the Constitution.

Nearly 30 years of legal experience cannot be learned overnight. It comes from years of preparation, hard work, and standing in courtrooms advocating for the people she represents.

EXPERIENCE MATTERS. AND BARBARA MOORE HOLT HAS IT.

🍂 What an enjoyable Saturday in Adams County!

I started my morning in West Union attending the ribbon cutting for Hoops Corner Market! Congratulations to the Hoop family on opening this wonderful new business!

It's always exciting to see local families investing in Adams County, creating new opportunities, and contributing to our local economy.

Wishing them many years of success!

Later in the day, I headed to Locust Grove for the Franklin Township Fire Association's Annual Fish Fry, and let me tell you, it was delicious! 🐟

A special thank you to the volunteers who work so hard to make this annual tradition possible. Our local fire departments and the dedicated men and women who support them are such an important part of Adams County.

From celebrating a new local business to supporting those who serve our neighbors, it was a great day to be out and about in Adams County! ❤️

Thank you to everyone who made today so enjoyable!

⚖️ EXPERIENCE MATTERS
A CAREER OF PROSECUTORIAL EXPERIENCE

When it comes to serving on the bench, experience matters. And Barbara Moore Holt brings nearly 30 years of legal experience to the table.

As an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, Barbara gained firsthand experience working within the criminal justice system, handling criminal matters and understanding the responsibilities that come with enforcing the law.

That experience provided an important perspective on the courtroom, the rights of individuals, and the responsibility of our justice system to ensure that the law is applied fairly.

Barbara understands that a judge's responsibility is not to write the law, but to follow it. Every person who enters a courtroom deserves fairness, impartiality, and respect for their constitutional rights.

Her prosecutorial background is one important part of a legal career that also includes private practice and service as a magistrate.

Nearly 30 years of legal experience. A lifetime of Adams County roots. A commitment to the rule of law.

STANDING TALL THROUGH IT ALL.

The past few months have not been easy.

The criticism. The personal attacks. The hurtful words. And the things that have been said about me that are simply not true.

Through it all, I've chosen to stand tall.

But this isn't the first time life has tested me. I'm a cancer survivor. I've faced the fear, uncertainty, and difficult days that come with fighting cancer.

That experience taught me a great deal about strength, perseverance, and keeping perspective when life becomes difficult.

I've faced battles far greater than political criticism. And I've learned that strength isn't about never being knocked down. It's about finding the courage to stand back up.

I've learned throughout my nearly 30-year legal career that you cannot control what others say about you. But you can control how you respond.

A judge must have the strength to withstand criticism, even when it's unfair. A judge must remain composed under pressure, exercise good judgment, and never allow personal feelings to interfere with doing what is right.

Those are principles I believe in, and they're principles I've tried to demonstrate throughout this campaign.

I'm human. I'm a mother. I have a family. I have feelings. And yes, some of the things that have been said have hurt. But I refuse to allow bitterness or anger to define who I am.

My roots are here in Adams County. My career has been devoted to the law.

And my principles remain the same: uphold the Constitution, follow the law, and treat everyone fairly.

The past few months have tested me, but they have not changed me.
I'm still standing tall. And I'm still the same Barbara I've always been.

What a wonderful evening Monday at the Willow Event Center in Wi******er as we wrapped up our Politics & Pie series!

I want to personally thank everyone who came out, not only Monday evening, but throughout our series of events across Adams County. I've enjoyed the opportunity to sit down with so many friends and neighbors, answer questions, listen to your concerns, and talk about the responsibilities of our local elected officials.

Throughout this campaign, I've believed that voters deserve the opportunity to ask questions directly and receive thoughtful, respectful answers. We can discuss important issues, even when we disagree, without shouting, name-calling, or personal attacks. That's how I've approached these conversations, and I appreciate everyone who helped make them possible.

Adams County is home. It's where I've raised my family, built my legal career, and spent my life. Having the opportunity to visit with so many of you throughout this series has meant a great deal to me.

Thank you for your time, your questions, your kindness, and the many wonderful conversations.

And, of course, thank you for helping us enjoy plenty of delicious pie along the way! 🥧❤️

Join us tonight!

One more stop — and we hope you'll join us!

Our final Politics & Pie of the season is coming up Monday, October 12!

My fellow candidates and I have truly enjoyed traveling to every corner of Adams County with this series. We've sat down with voters, listened to concerns, answered tough questions and talked about the future of the county we all call home.

I believe candidates for public office should be willing to look voters in the eye, answer their questions and personally ask for their support. That's exactly what we've tried to do throughout Politics & Pie.

There is no substitute for meeting people face-to-face and listening. Whether we agree on every issue or not, you deserve to know the people asking for the responsibility of serving you.

Thank you to everyone who has joined us along the way. Now, let's finish the Politics & Pie season together!

Monday, October 12 — our final Politics & Pie!
The Willow Event Center
6 - 8 p.m.

Come with your questions, enjoy some pie and let's have one more good conversation about Adams County and its future.
