Adams County Sheriffs Office Adams County Sheriff's Office is proud to serve the citizens of Adams County Ohio. We do all of this with a total employee count of 38.

The Adams County Sheriff's Office covers a 588 square mile area with a population of 28,600 citizens. We maintain a road patrol division, jail division, investigations division, school resource division and communications division 24 hours a day. We are also actively involved in several activities throughout the county, several of which focus on the youths of the communities and crime prevention.

The National Drug Take Back Day (NDTBD) will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. People may bring any old, outdated or no longer used medication to our drop off site at the Tractor Supply Center (TSC) parking lot located on St. Rt. 41 in West Union, Ohio. It is a drive through site, stay in your car and drop your bag or bags of medication into our container. Medication may be kept in their original containers; no one ever sees name or type of medication disposed. The containers are sealed and driven to the Blue Ash collection site by the Adams County Sheriff’s office.

We will accept any va**ng devices for disposal too. Please keep these devices separate to dispose in the proper container. Adams Brown Recycle disposes of v**e devices for our county.

The Adams County Sheriff Office, Adams County Youth Prevention Coalition and the Adams County Medical Foundation work together to help Adams County get rid of medication no longer used or needed and to dispose of va**ng devices. By disposing of the medications in this responsible way the environment is also protected. Medications should never be flushed or just tossed in the garbage.

Deterra bags will be available to use throughout the year to dispose of medications.
