Yesterday, I joined Lawyers for Good Government and HousingNOLA to demand the Trump Administration release $156 million in Solar for Y’all Funds that could provide rooftop solar and battery storage and lower electric bills for thousands of Louisiana families!

As storms intensify and demand on our power grids increase, we must equip families to weather the storms, keep their cost of living affordable, and create renewable energy jobs our communities deserve.

Trump and his cabinet secretaries aren't committed to making life affordable, keeping us safe, or working toward a compassionate immigration system.

What are they committed to?

Burning the skin of immigrants with military-grade heat rays, apparently.

Reprehensible.

The Pentagon has given the Department of Homeland Security permission to test a military-grade heat ray and develop tactics to potentially use it in operations at the southern US border, according to a memo signed by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth last month and obtained by CNN.

Even after the Supreme Court further eviscerated the Voting Rights Act in Louisiana v. Callais decision, the plaintiffs aren’t done. Now they want federal courts to eliminate the last remaining Black-majority congressional district in Louisiana!

On this LAST DAY of Early Voting, we’re demanding the Court rule against this blatant attempt to eliminate fair representation.

We’ve seen what happens when we stand up and speak out: we get results! The power still belongs to the people.
