Today, I was pleased to join my Congressional colleague, and Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle for the ribbon cutting of Dayton T. Brown’s new Test and Qualification Center in Huntsville.

This impressive new facility will provide advanced testing for missile and space systems, helping strengthen our nation’s defense capabilities, support critical supply chains, and further establish North Alabama as a leader in the aerospace and defense industries.

Congratulations to Dayton T. Brown on this important investment in North Alabama and on 75 years of supporting American innovation and national defense!

And while many people may not realize it, a portion of the City of Huntsville is now located in Alabama’s Fourth Congressional District, which I am honored to represent. This includes the northwestern tip of Marshall County, which falls within Huntsville’s city limits.

It was great to tour UAB St. Vincent’s Blount Hospital today and see the impactful work they’re doing to serve Oneonta and the surrounding areas.

I was proud to secure FY26 funding for new CT scanner equipment that will bring one of the most advanced CT scanners in the Southeast to the hospital, improving access to advanced imaging technology and helping ensure patients receive quality care close to home.
