We've got a special announcement! The Point Defiance Flower & Garden Festival is excited to welcome this year's keynote speakers: Chris Staudinger from Pretty Gritty Tours and Debra Prinzing from SLOW Flowers Society.

🌼Saturday, June 6 at noon: “SECRET GARDENS: Tacoma and the Landscape of Parks”.
🌼Chris Staudinger uncovers the surprising history behind the landscapes that helped define Tacoma. If you love Tacoma history, hidden stories, architecture, parks, or local culture, this is for you.

🌺Sunday, June 7 at noon: "ECO-FRIENDLY FLORAL DESIGN: From the Garden to the Vase".
🌺Debra Prinzing shares simple, thoughtful approaches to floral design using seasonal blooms, recycled vessels, and natural materials. Discover how sustainable floral design can be beautiful, creative, seasonal and deeply personal.

Join us at Fort Nisqually Living History Museum on Friday, June 26 from 6-9 pm for an evening filled with Northwest cuisine, drinks, entertainment, and Victorian finery.

At "Dine We Must", participants will enjoy a farm-to-table dinner during a whimsical night full of culinary delights. You're encouraged to visit and explore the Fort’s historic buildings, enjoy appetizers and a cash bar supporting the Fort Nisqually Foundation.

Partake in a game, make a 19th century craft, or take a few photos before transitioning to dinner. The evening will conclude with a sampling of desserts baked in our period kitchen, cooked by our wonderfully talented volunteers.

We’re excited to announce that Chris Staudinger is our keynote speaker at 12 pm on Saturday, June 6 at the Point Defiance Flower & Garden Festival.

For over 15 years, he’s worked as a videographer, journalist, and travel writer uncovering the most fascinating places and experiences around the world. Today, he runs Pretty Gritty Tours creating immersive tours and experiences across Washington that connect people to the stories behind the places they thought they knew.
