SIMA San Diego paused this morning to offer a happy 251st to the U.S. Navy. This year’s theme – “Unwavering Vigilance, Unmatched Lethality” was center stage as we reflected on our service’s history and role in the current maritime environment. By continuously investing in training our people and providing innovative solutions, we ensure that the legacy of maritime dominance we celebrate today remains unquestioned tomorrow.

After the ceremony concluded, our Sailors honored the occasion by burning through 251 deadlifts. Great job!

A mighty shout out to all SIMA San Diego’s newest Chiefs.

They were selected among a pool of the very best candidates to wear the anchors and be the U.S. Navy’s go-to mentors and leaders to get the job done. With that role comes great responsibility, and we’re confident our recent cadre pinned yesterday are up for the task!

Twenty-five years after 9/11, SWRMC, SIMA San Diego and local first responders held a ceremony this morning to pay tribute to individuals lost from the events of that day, including rescue crews and those in other locations who were affected from the attacks.

We will continue to honor their enduring memory and let their examples serve as a reminder for unity and courage in the face of danger.
