Anchorage is the seventh San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock that was commissioned May 4, 2013 in her namesake city of Anchorage, Alaska.

THE FINAL BATTLE PROBLEM!

USS ANCHORAGE undergoes a test known as Final Battle Problem (FBP) that pushes them in everything that they’ve trained on before. It’s a culminating event for a ship that marks the end of its basic phase and proves that they’re ready for the next step. Now that FBP is out of the way, the ANCHORAGE prepares for its next challenge!

CAN’T DODGE DECK!

For the first time, USS ANCHORAGE hosts a dodgeball tournament for the different departments aboard the ship! With competitive spirits at an all-time high and balls flying throughout the air, only one department remains... DECK DEPARTMENT!!

MARINES INCOMING!

USS Anchorage and fellow Marines partner together to tactically train with Amphibious Combat Vehicles (ACV). These vehicles help Marines perform their missions across the world, allowing them to traverse from ship to shore.

Students from Elsinore High School’s Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) take a tour onboard USS Anchorage to learn of the daily activities that happen on a U.S. Navy ship. These students train, prepare and learn so that they can become service members one day!

USS Anchorage undergoes its certification for LCU and LCAC operations. Deck department gets these crafts in and out of the well deck safely and efficiently!
