DESRON ONE is back from RIMPAC 2024!!!
During this year's Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) exercise, DESRON ONE had the privilege of leading and planning the massive warship formation exercise to showcase the combined strength and cooperation of maritime partners from across the globe.
Vessels from Brunei, Canada, Chile, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Peru, Republic of Korea, Singapore, and the United States participated. There were a total of 36 ships and submarines including destroyers, frigates, oilers, and the Nimitz class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70).
The world's largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC provides a unique training opportunity while fostering and sustaining cooperative relationships among participants critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the world's oceans.
