What a SPOOKTACULAR time at our Firehouse Seniors Halloween Party!

Today was filled with music, delicious food, a fun pumpkin contest, creative costumes, and, most importantly, great company and wonderful memories shared with one another! From the festive spirit to all the Halloween fun, everyone helped make this celebration one to remember. 🕸️🦇

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and made today's party so much fun! We hope you had a BOO-tiful time!

This FREE event is for children ages 12 and under. Activities and supplies are available while supplies last.

A refreshed Sherwood Recreation Center is ready for the next chapter! The City Council has officially approved the acceptance of the new renovations during the October 13th city council meeting. We can't wait to unveil all the exciting updates and improvements made to this community space. Stay tuned for details on the upcoming ribbon-cutting ceremony!

Closter Park was recently renovated to give our community a welcoming place to gather, play, and enjoy the outdoors.

Unfortunately, we continue to see instances of graffiti, vandalism, and damage throughout the park. The photos attached are some examples of what has been occurring.

Closter Park belongs to all of us, and we each have a part in keeping it a place our community can enjoy for years to come. We encourage everyone to take pride in this shared space, treat it with care and respect, and help remind our children, friends, and neighbors why caring for our community matters.

If you witness vandalism or damage occurring, please report it to the appropriate authorities.

🚧 Service in Action 🚧 Our team has been hard at work this week enhancing the Hartnell Park area! We’ve leveled uneven ground and begun reseeding to promote healthier grass and ensure safer play for everyone.

Thank you for your patience as the area recovers. We’re excited to reopen it soon for sports and play! Stay tuned for updates!

Quick throwback to Mayor Donohue at the Closter Park grand reopening! He shared why this space is such an important community asset and a destination enjoyed by people from all over the city, across generations. From Little League to adult softball and everything in between, this park has been part of so many local memories. 🌳 🌷 🫧

Recently, the park had experienced graffiti, vandalism, and other damage. Closter Park is a newly renovated space built for the Salinas community. It’s a place for children to play, families to gather, neighbors to connect, and everyone to enjoy.

As our community enjoys this beautiful space, let’s work together to keep it welcoming, clean, and beautiful for everyone. Every small act of care makes a difference.

Out to Lunch & Pumpkin Patch Fun!

Our Firehouse Seniors enjoyed another fun-filled outing with our Out to Lunch Bunch! After sharing a delicious meal and spending time together, they headed over to Borchard Pumpkin Patch for some fall fun!

We love seeing our seniors staying active, making memories, and enjoying all the wonderful experiences our community has to offer. Thank you for joining us on these special outings!
