Lights On Afterschool is a nationwide celebration highlighting the impact of afterschool programs on students, families, and communities. ❤️

From fun activities to hands-on learning, our programs showed why keeping the lights on matters! Afterschool creates safe spaces for students to learn, grow, build friendships, and shine. ✨

Every student deserves the opportunity to thrive afterschool. Let’s keep those lights ON!💡

💡Lights On Afterschool💡

Lights On Afterschool is a celebration of the impact our programs make for students every single day. Here’s a look at how our sites showed up:

Rio Linda & Dry Creek: Our high schoolers hosted an event for elementary students where they got to paint pumpkins together. Shoutout to PMs Jari Ochoa and Lindsey Rodriguez.

Highlands & CCAA: A collaboration between schools where students played games, made artwork, and enjoyed food and popcorn. Shoutout to PMs Belle Comb and Gavin Baxter.

Garden Valley: Students had an amazing time at the glow in the dark silent disco, with music, food, and activities all night. Shoutout to PM Isaiah Almaguer.

Thank you to every school that provided a space for our students to enjoy. We do what we do because of the care we have for our program and the students in it. 💡

Welcome to our learning community. This is where Program Managers from districts across the region come together to share ideas and connect with one another. Lights On Afterschool reminds us why: every student we serve deserves a place to land after that final bell.

🎮🏆 8 SCHOOLS. 1 COMMUNITY. INFINITE POSSIBILITIES.

On October 9th, 8 SCUSD high schools came together at West Campus for our first e-sports tournament of the school year! 🎮🔥

Our e-sports clubs are student-led and student-organized, creating opportunities for students to build leadership, teamwork, communication, and meaningful connections through gaming. 💪🎧

More than just competition — we’re building skills, strengthening community, and leveling up together! 🚀

GGs to all our players, shoutout to our student leaders, and here’s to an incredible year of e-sports! 🕹️👏
