It's the last day of Mental Health Month, but the message remains the same.
Bright colors. Sweet flavors. Trendy designs.
The to***co industry knows exactly who they’re targeting.

Young people and vulnerable populations are often the focus of marketing designed to make ni****ne look harmless, normal, and appealing.

But addiction is not harmless, and prevention matters.

It’s time to move toward a to***co-free future. Support us in advocating for reduced access, limiting harmful products, and protecting our communities.

Some people carry stress silently. Some people smile through pain. And some cope with ni****ne because they were never shown another way.

Ni****ne doesn’t just affect the body. It can fuel stress, anxiety, dependence, and keep people trapped in cycles that are hard to break.

That’s why compassion matters. Checking in on someone, starting a conversation, or helping them find support could change – or even save – a life.

It’s time to move toward a to***co-free future. Support us in advocating for reduced access, limiting harmful products, and protecting our communities.

The SOL Project joined forces with Jerist Roberts of Center for Collaborative Planning and Be Bothered to deliver a powerful presentation on "Behind The Puff: The Real Truth About Va**ng" at the YOUTH HUDDLE during the annual NAN Sacramento Conference at Genesis Church on Sat-May 16, empowering youth with knowledge about the dangers of va**ng, ci******es, e-cigs, and ma*****na, as well as the devastating long-term effects of ni****ne and secondhand and thirdhand smoke exposure. Encouraging students to LEAD BY EXAMPLE, the message was clear: SAY NO TO VA**NG, and INSPIRE OTHERS.

For those struggling to quit, free resources are available from KickItCA by calling 1-800-300-8086 or texting Quit Smoking or Quit Va**ng to 66819. Thanks to Pastor T/Dr. Porter of for partnering with The SOL Project to spread awareness.

Ni****ne addiction is something a lot of us have experienced without even realizing it.

Ni****ne feels like it helps… for a moment.

But when it wears off, the anxiety comes back stronger.

So we use again.

That cycle isn’t a coincidence. The to***co industry keeps you addicted on purpose.

It’s time to move toward a to***co-free future. Support us in advocating for reduced access, limiting harmful products, and protecting our communities.

This isn’t by accident. To***co and v**e companies have spent decades studying our communities—our stress, our struggles, our environments.

Not to help us…
but to profit off of us.

Our stress is real. But they should never profit from our pain.

It’s time to move toward a to***co-free future. Advocate for reduced access, limiting harmful products, and protecting our communities.

Pastor Anthony Robertson of New Home Baptist Church and Faith Community Champion for The SOL Project recently attended the Elk Grove City Council Meeting to speak up for healthier, smoke-free living environments for families throughout our community.

As a longtime Elk Grove resident, Pastor Robertson shared concerns about the dangers of secondhand and thirdhand smoke, especially in apartments, duplexes, and condos where smoke can travel through vents, walls, hallways, and shared spaces — impacting children, seniors, and those with health conditions.

Together, we continue advocating for cleaner air and healthier homes for all residents. 💚🚭

We are the movement! 🙌🏾✨

While No Menthol Sunday 2026 has passed, the movement continues all year long 🚭💚 Communities nationwide come together in remembrance and unity each year on the 3rd Sunday in May to raise awareness about the harms of menthol and to***co addiction.

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” 🌱

Together, we keep showing up for our families, our youth, and our community health. Stay the course — lives are depending on it 🙏🏾✨
